As you walk into El Matador's elegant, modern restaurant, your senses will be aroused by our eclectic market-style display of freshly-made Spanish and Argentinian produce, cooked in an open kitchen before your eyes. Service is personal and impeccable at El Matador and you can select your food from the display cabinets so what you see is what you get. Argentina is one of the greatest ecological reserves of the world: wide green pastures, diverse geography and exceptionally rich soil transform Argentine food into a true treasure of nature. We import our beef (vacuum packed, not frozen) every week from Argentina to guarantee a tender and special flavour. Our food is always fresh and locally sourced where possible, with our Spanish and Argentine spices coming from the country of origin for genuine flavour.

Our wine list is as extensive as our food menus, with an organic house wine from the Penedès region of Spain and many others. With our experienced palettes and love of undiscovered Argentinian and Spanish wine, we aim to make your taste buds dance with exciting, new flavours. We also do wine tasting evenings, which provide the perfect opportunity to sample the diverse range of wines on offer.
